Rebecca Thorndike-Breeze
Rebecca (she/her) has been improvising around the Boston area since 2019, and when she’s not doing that, she’s teaching technical communication at MIT, and when she’s not doing that she’s thinking about becoming a witch but then realizes she’s too tired so she falls asleep instead, and when she’s not doing that she’s probably eating hummus.
Emma Hobbs
Emma (she/her) has been making poop jokes across the Greater Boston Improv community since 2021. Outside of her improv as member of Stop That Baby! and Improv Asylum’s house teams, Emma can be found petting her dog, petting her cat, developing her skills as an amateur electrician, or divorcing people. Emma’s favorite part of Stop That Baby! is how many stunts the team does, in fulfillment of her love language, physical touch.
Charlie DiRienzo
A clinician at a cancer lab in Boston, Charlie (he/him) has been an improviser since 2019. He performs at ImprovBoston in Cambridge, Union Comedy in Somerville, and with indie power team Stop That Baby around New England. His hobbies include cooking, running, and RPGs. His closest brush with celebrity was when he bumped into Charo on an airplane.
Caro Sanchez De Varona
Caro (they/them) began performing improv in Boston around the spring of 2022 and loves being one of the Babies. When not improvising, they stream tabletop role playing games and other cool nerdy stuff. When asked, they’ll say their favorite pastime is long walks on the beach, but really its maintaining the fae circle on the edge of the forest to prevent more children from becoming changelings.
Harry Pearce
Harry (he/him) has been on an improv comedy voyage up the Eastern Seaboard, starting at Just The Funny in Miami, to UCB in New York, and landing at Improv Asylum in Boston, where he has performed on IA House Teams since 2022. Outside of improv Harry can be found identifying rare birds, talking at people about crypto, cutting rugs and crafting turkey sandwiches. Importantly, in the HBO series, Ballers, Harry appears alongside fellow UMiami grad, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Addy Gover
Addy (they/he) is an improvisational comedian. They started their comedy career as a child watching Who’s Line with their mom and performing their own songs for her in their living room. Now improv comedy is their greatest passion and they have devoted the past few years to practicing the art form. Improv is where they derive their sense of community. They organize a bi-weekly improv meetup for members of the LGBTQ+ community where folks hang out, do improv, and share their experiences. The group is at ~25 members and growing every week. Addy is very proud of this.
Drew Briggs
Drew (he/him) first encountered improv in college when seeing it performed at events. He loved watching it and was intrigued! When he moved to Vermont after college, he discovered a weekly public improv jam advertised online started to go every week! After having lived in VT for 9 years, he moved to Massachusetts in 2016. He quickly looked into the Improv opportunities in the area and started to do it every week. Now he does it 3 or 4 times a week (often multiple times in a day)!! He's also done some stand-up comedy and wants to get back into doing that along with Improv. He loves stand-up and improv comedy and just generally really likes to make people laugh!!
Emily Tullock
Emily loves doing improv more than she loves her own adopted siblings! She began back in 2010 during college and has since performed with numerous teams, taken classes and workshops, and even began teaching improv to adults and children. Currently, you can find her performing with Improv Asylum and Union Comedy House Teams and stopping babies with this beautiful group of people. Outside of comedy, Emily enjoys claiming her cat as a dependent on taxes, making short films, and sleeping whenever possible.
Theresa Hofmann (Of Counsel)
Theresa (she/her/bitch/cunt) lives how she was born: with no money. Picture it, it is 1994 and you are in East Elmhurst in Queens NY. A nurse rushes out to her other nurse friends and she’s like “this is the poorest baby I have ever seen”. From there, Theresa developed a sense a humor to deal with bullies and an intense hatred for nurses. She did high school, college, and managed to even con her way through law school. Then she did some improv. Now, legend has it that Theresa went off the grid to Washington D.C. but no one reliable has been able to confirm.
